So I have no idea if this is the right place for this. If not I deeply apologize.
I’m a 26 year old male in Atlanta, GA that graduated from Georgia Tech in 2015 with a bachelors in Computer Science. Ever since, i’ve been working as a software engineer.
But the more I do what I do, the more unfilled I feel. I always loved the human body and medicine, and I often find myself reading up about medicine and thinking about going the MD route – but then realizing I cant commit 10-12 years to it.
Recently, I found out about Optometry and became intrigued. I think the eye is a really amazing organ and the fact that it takes about 4 years after graduating was a huge sell. I almost started dreaming of myself as an Optometrist.
Until reality kicked in, and I realized that I graduated with a 2.4 GPA so no school may take me in. Plus I took no Bio or Chem courses so that may be another set back.
Just this once….instead of just dreaming about it, is there a chance this can become a reality given my GPA? Or will this be another dream that may not be achievable for me? :/
